US Beauty Industry Sales Slow But Continue to Grow in Q1

Prestige gain of 9% and mass rise of 2% is a "reflection of an industry stabilizing" after double-digit performance for the past two years, says Circana.

Circana reports that US prestige beauty industry sales revenue grew by 9% in the first quarter (Q1), compared to the same period in 2023, according to Circana. In comparison, mass market beauty sales experienced a year over year increase of 2%. Within the prestige channels, fragrance was the fastest-growing category based on sales revenue, up 13%.
